With several foreign leaders set to be in town for Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, South Block has roped in its former chief of protocol Ruchira Kamboj to manage protocol affairs in the Capital.
Kamboj, who recently left for Paris as India’s envoy at UNESCO, is the most experienced hand in dealing with the protocol staff of all countries.
She had handled several multilateral meetings in Delhi – BRICS, Asia-Europe meeting and IOR-ARC to name a few — in the past three years.
Kamboj will assist the incumbent Pradeep Rawat.
Prashant Bhushan has alleged that hooliganism and goondagardi was rampant in the Council.
