Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Tuesday kept away from the function in which newly appointed Pradesh Congress Committee president V M Sudheeran assumed office. Congress high command has picked up Sudheeran, overruling the nominee of Chandy and outgoing state president Ramesh Chennithala.
Chandy remained in his office when Sudheeran took charge at PCC office. Chandy did not react on why he had kept away from the party function. Chandy and Chennithala had recommended the name of speaker G Karthikeyan for the post of the PCC president. Karthikeyan was projected as a candidate acceptable to both groups.
On Friday, the first question to the AAP was related to its “anti-national activities”.
