BJP fanning communal hatred through pocket organisations: Sanjay Nirupam

"This is BJP's style of functioning. Wherever they have to fight elections, such communal sentiments are fanned," said Sanjay.

Drawing a parallel between the murder of a techie in Pune and Muzaffarnagar riots, a Congress leader from Maharashtra on Saturday accused BJP of “fanning communal hatred” in the state through its “pocket organisations” with an eye on Assembly polls.

AICC Secretary Sanjay Nirupam, a former MP from Mumbai North, also hit out at the central government over reports that Home Ministry does not seem to be satisfied with the report sent by the state government on action taken by it in the techie killing case.

“It is a leaked report. We cannot say with authority what is written in the report as we have not seen it. Instead of leaking reports, the central government should act,” he said.

Nirupam said that Congress in Maharashtra is concerned that “some sort of communal hatred is being fanned by BJP through its pocket organisations.”

“Assembly elections are going to take place in the state this year and the incident (of killing of techie) has happened in Pune. In the same manner, BJP had fanned communal tension in Uttar Pradesh before the Lok Sabha polls after some incidents in Muzaffarnagar.

“This is BJP’s style of functioning. Wherever they have to fight elections, such communal sentiments are fanned. We apprehend that BJP or its supporters fomented trouble in Muzaffarnagar, they are going to orchestrate same thing here,”
he said.

A 28-year-old software professional Shaikh Mohasin Sadiq was bludgeoned to death allegedly by persons with suspected
links to a Hindu outfit in Pune about four days back.

A total of 13 persons have been arrested by police in connection with the murder.

The trigger for the attack was apparently uploading of derogatory pictures of warrior king Shivaji and late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray on Facebook by unknown persons which led to a protest bandh on Sunday.

The accused booked under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 147 (rioting) of Indian Penal Code are said to be linked to Hindu Rashtra Sena, a right wing organisation.

Asked on what basis he was levelling allegations against the BJP over the incident, Nirupam said that a number of BJP
leaders had shared dais with the members of the Sena.

“This is their old habit. First they fan communal tensions through their pocket organisations, wherever they go to fight polls and they say that they have no relation with those organisations. There are photographs of a number of BJP leader having shared the dais with Sena members,” Nirupam said.

Old wine in old bottle, Congress try something else next time. Snubbing at national level is insufficient for you to change your habits. Even if you remove 'h', 'a', 'b', in Habit, it remains!

Clic Congress strategy ... the only way congress can come back is if they manage to implicate bjp in communal riots .... so i expect this to be a strategy from congress ... create riots ... in states ruled by the congress ... then implicate someone from bjp in some manner ... a biased investigation will be icing on the cake ... then connect modi ... and speak abt how bjp aka modi are communalising prior to an election

Marati gatis like Nrupam are avarice for money women and lies. Gatis promote Dawoods, yb chavan type CIA agents for money. Nirupam of congress is a job less spent forcee trying to get attention. Nirupam is a cancer on India. It is a shame that media carries this rascals criminalised talk. These Ranes Nirupam etc are like Kripasankar the former congress chief in Mumbai, to know, how congi men like Nirupam are made. Kripasankar was a street vendor and a t hu g like Kripashankar Singh who amed wealth through the real estate route. Anyone started via the real estate route, is a threat to India, like the Satyam IT fellow. Anyone linked to the real estate business is a g o o n like our policemen and is a threat to the public. The Mumbai police had to withdrew the Z-plussecurity given to senior Congress leader the t h u g Kripashankar Singh who wasthe congress president, who is facing a multi-crore disproportionate etscase along with five other family members. This was done because KripashankarSingh could be arrested. Kripashankar Singh had been enjoying Z-plus security since 2005, The Bombay high court on February 22, 2012 ordered Mumbai police chief Arup Patnaik to file an FIR against Kripashankar under the Prevention of Corruption Act and his familymembers for abetment. The HC was hearing a PIL on Kripashankar Singh and hisfamily as they own ets worth Rs 320 crore, which is disproportionate totheir known sources of income. The FIR was lodged on February 28. 2012 NCP leader and home minister R R Patil, made the Mumbai police to go soft on Kripashankar Singh. Congi men like Nirupam talk is like that of a red light area prosute who claims virginity.

As a minister, he should limit himself to facts. Let the police investigate. It is this kind of arbitrary statements that lessons the level of discourse. This is slanderous accusation and he could easily find himself as a defendant in a court. Then he will actually have to prove rather than live in his own imaginary world.
