BJP boycotts NDTV over news gaffe

The NDTV has falsely attributed a tweet to Sushma Swaraj in an article on its website.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday published a press release on its website stating that they have “decided to keep away from panel discussions of NDTV for present.”

The NDTV Twitter account has falsely attributed a tweet to Sushma Swaraj. NDTV, last night, confirmed that they haven’t reported the story on TV. The unverified tweet pooh-poohs “Modi-wave” and NDTV tweeted it without confirming the source of the tweet.

The BJP said in its press release that the “Tweet being manufactured by a channel in order to hurt BJP is unprecedented.”

Both the NDTV and Editor and Journalist Barkha Dutt apologised on Twitter for the “erroneous tweet”.

NDTV is congress supporter. Barkha Dutt is supporter of congress for fear of CBI enquiry in the Radia Tape case

Majority people emplo in the media are against modi and bjp. That is whu even absurd utterance of kejri are appearing in media. But people are overwhelmingly behind modi. In 1977, it was not with the media support that janta party came in to power. My comment is also not being pstedsince it is against AAp

This isnt good, ndtv should verify first and be more responsible. Mostly, ndtv shows sensible news, unlike other news channels that act like they are paid by congress or bjp. but i dont know whether barkha owes an apology for this when someone else in the channel does such a thing. however, it is good that the channel apologised

What do you expect from NDTV? It is basically a AAP and Krejriwal booster and anti-Modi.
