Beware of long fingernails: Vaiko party
Chennai: The MDMK has a curious directive to its cadre. It has asked the cadre to beware of those with long fingernails and who may try to pull at the hands of their leader and Lok Sabha candidate, Vaiko. The cadre themselves should desist from trying to shake hands with him while on election campaign tour.
In a directive to its cadre Monday, the party headquarters prepared a list of nine dos and don’ts that include austerity measures such as not wasting money on setting up stages, organising grand receptions, carrying shawls or bouquets, and ensuring that traffic is not affected. Though Vaiko is the candidate from Virudhunagar, the hub of the firecracker industry, the party has specifically asked the cadre not to burst crackers . ENS

This is the second case against Beni for violation of the model code. The first was lodged against him on March 31. PTI
