The situation outside Tihar jail, where AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal was sent on Wednesday, turned chaotic after his party workers clashed with police in the evening.

Several AAP workers, including senior party leader Yogendra Yadav, were detained by police following the clash. Earlier, after Kejriwal was taken into custody at Patiala House court in a defamation case filed by former BJP president Nitin Gadkari, bulk messages were sent to AAP volunteers asking them gather outside Tihar Jail’s Gate No.3.

As the AAP supporters started gathering outside the jail to protest against the court’s decision, police started evicting them and Section 144, which prohibits mass gatherings, was also imposed outside the jail. AAP leaders Rakhi Birla, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh were also present outside the jail to lead the party’s supporters.

“If it is a crime to call a corrupt person corrupt, then send us to jail or hang us. This is dictatorship,” said Singh. Yadav slammed the police’s move to evict them saying, “We are not doing anything illegal. Those who are indulging in corruption… are sitting in their drawing rooms and enjoying while those opposing corruption are being sent to jail. What kind of justice is this?

“This is police high-handedness. There should be women police to deal with women protesters. A senior police officer who was present at the site said that women police personnel had been summoned and contended that they had not tried to evacuate the women protesters from the site.

AAP is almost a drama party, I don't know what he is trying to show by going to jail. In coming election, he will say that i went jail for the sake of people of Delhi.

Whomever you support, I don't have problem but don't insult the mandate of the nation. Regarding AAP, i had very high regard when it got 28 seats but after that I understood that awarding someone without working hard is of no use, the people of Delhi did the same thing. Let the party be in politics for 5 more years as opposition in embly election. I am sorry to say you that in coming election AAP will be next to BJP occupying second position and will gain maximum of 10-15 sheets.

Democracy Never Changes!! The Story is retold in different languages, different slangs, different situations, but unforunately, it is true that any small powers can't fight a big pots.

It happens only in India that corrupt gets ministries and while blowers are put to Jail.A balanced news and Not like other news portals/papers. Role of media is to report news and not make false headlines. Everyone is not corrupt but that does not mean everyone is honest. There are people everywhere whose either corrupt or bied because of some interest.

This party and their leader/followers have no respect for law and order and judiciary of the nation and they want to rule the nation of 1.2 billion with this sort of mind set even after the voters rejected them in the recent polls.Let god give them some enlightenment and accept the rules of the country.
