Congress can't expect regaining its earlier position unless it changes its leadership & dependence on Nehru-hi family.

Congress should stick to that mighty hi [although no relation to Mahatma] name to fight all future elections - embly or otherwise - that way it will be completely wiped out from the political stage in India. It is the age of crusaders of anti-corruption like AK49 and would be activist-turn politicians to come on the stage to paint their wagons and win elections in the years ahead! Who knows after AAP there would be All India Common Man's Party on the horizon?

I am sooooo glad that Sharmishtha, Pranab Mukherjee's daughter forfeited her deposit. She was propped up by CONGRESS only because she was President's daughter. All her qualifications were in dancing, not in social work. Congress must promote from within people without pedigree (Alsatian, Labrador, Poodle). That is democracy.

Congress won 15 years and if they lose once, so what ? Has any one of us won even once? Where were the news papers before the results. Indian express failed to gauge the public. Where was the voice of the common man with its myriad reporters. Let us all mourn for next 5 years
