Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight condemned the killing of an E-rickshaw driver in Delhi for stopping two men from urinating in public and directed the authorities to punish the culprits. Modi, who is on a four-nation tour, also sanctioned Rs.1 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) as ex-gratia to the next of the kin of the 32-year-old driver Ravindra Kumar who was beaten to death for espousing the ‘Swachha Bharat’, an official spokesman said at New Delhi. “The prime Minister condemned the incident and directed the authorities to bring to book and punish the culprits for committing such inhuman act,” the spokesman said. Kumar was beaten to death last night allegedly by a dozen men after he objected to two of them urinating outside the GTB Nagar Metro Station, according to the police.

Two men had bought liquor from a shop near the metro station and consumed it near Gate No. 4 last evening. They also urinated outside the station, to which the driver objected.

The duo told Kumar that they would get back at him later and left the place in another E-rickshaw.

Around 8 pm, the duo, along with 10 others, returned to the metro station and attacked Kumar. He was rushed to a hospital where he died.

Another E-rickshaw driver, who tried to intervene, was also assaulted.

Swachh Bharat is an ambitious programme initiated by the prime minister and he has been encouraging the public to contribute to this endeavour.

Suddenly to central government is awake for kil of an Auto driver. Were they sleeping when the gau rakshas were lynching people in other part of the country. Why this double standard. People killed by gau rakshas are not human and only the auto driver is a human. No comments from Mr. Tolerance Sri Sri Sri Anupam Kher, has he become Maun Kher. There big question mark, will gau rakshas be punished by Authorities for lynching.

This is the true picture of India.....Violence and torture. We see this everywhere, at homes, in schools, in universities (ragging), in playgrounds, out in the streets; and we cry foul at stan for torturing our soldiers. The helpless Rickshaw driver was in fact doing the courageous job of a concerned citizen quite in line with the governments "Swacch Bharat Aviyan". Seriously speaking, this good duty bound citizen needs to be honored with Bharat Ratna and not the celebrities who have honors thrust upon them. What greater sacrifice can a citizen offer to the country at the cost of his life. And the PM grants an ex gratis payment. He can do better, for this money is not from his pocket. Showing sympathy and charity with someone else's money is hypocrisy, almost as good as shedding crocodile tears. The very least the PM can do, if he really does care is to offer this hero's wife/son/daughter an appropriate government job.

He did a better job than the paid ambassadors of Swach Bharat. But the praises by the media are for the PAID hypocrites who do a lip service for their own popularity.

It should be recalled that left-secular zero Kanniah of JNU, a social sciences monkey studying 'african studies' for last 10 years unsuccessfully, also was fined by JNU authorities Rs. 3000 for publicly urination that too infront of ladies and refusing to stop doing so! These felows also should be somehow following his ideas! They may soon start shouting azadi to urinate in public and azadi to attack/kill any one objecting to such act! Soon we will hear support and sympathy to these thugs by kejri, yechuri and pappu.
