Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending eight different events during his visit to Gujarat for the eight edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit (VGGS-2017). The event scheduled to be held from January 9-13, 2017 is expected to be the “biggest so far” and will see Union finance minister Arun Jaitley spearheading a crucial discussion on GST (Goods and Service Tax).

Sharing the details of events surrounding Vibrant Gujarat summit, Gujarat Chief Secretary JN Singh and Additional Chief Secretary (Industry and Mines) PK Taneja claimed that the state has so far inked 50,738 MoUs (Memorandum of Understandings) since 2003 of which over 66 per cent or 34,234 MoUs have been implemented or are in various stages of implementation.

Modi will also be participating in a dinner and later leave for Delhi.
