PM Modi pays tribute to Cho Ramaswamy, says he was a multidimensional personality

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday took to Twitter to pay tribute to former Rajya Sabha member, veteran journalist and political commentator Cho Ramaswamy, who passed away early Wednesday morning. The 82-year-old suffered a heart attack at the Apollo hospital in Chennai.

PM Modi tweeted, “Cho Ramaswamy was a multidimensional personality, towering intellectual, great nationalist & fearless voice who was respected and admired”. He also said that above all, Cho was a dear friend. I have been to his annual readers meeting which were an unprecedented editor reader interface.

Condoling the death of the veteran journalist, Modi said, “Cho Ramaswamy was insightful, frank and brilliant. Pained by his demise. Condolences to his family and countless readers of Thuglak”.

Cho Ramaswamy died two days after the demise of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. He was considered a trusted advisor and a close friend to Amma.
