A court here today issued a non-bailable warrant against yoga guru Ramdev in a case over his remarks made last year against those refusing to raise the slogan of ‘Bharat mata ki jai’. The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Goyal issued the NBW against Ramdev and fixed August 3 as the next date of hearing in the case.
On May 12, the court had issued a bailable warrant against Ramdev. “The order follows Ramdev’s failure to appear before the court yet again today. He also failed to appear despite summons and a bailable warrant,” counsel for the complainant in the case O P Chugh said.

Ramdev had made the remarks at a Sadbhawana Sammelan here in April last year, which was called to promote peace in the city that witnessed violence during the Jat quota stir. He had said that but for the rule of law he would have “beheaded” lakhs of people for refusing to chant ‘Bharat mata ki jai’. On March 2, Goyal had issued summons to Ramdev after a complaint was filed by Congress leader and former Haryana minister Subhash Batra seeking registration of an FIR against the yoga guru.

The ACJM had then directed Ramdev to furnish Rs 1 lakh personal surety during the execution of warrant and also to appear in court on June 14.

Was Lala Ramdev threatening one individual? No. Was Lala Ramdev threatening one Religious Community? No. Is his comment worse than "Kashmir ki Azadi tak, Hindustan ki barbadi tak"? No. Did he hoist the ISIS flag or a "Hindu rashtra flag" or anything of the like? No. Has he ever assaulted anyone (forget killing anyone)? No. Does he have freedom of expression? Yes. Did he acknowledge that he felt bound by the law of the land? Yes. Was he only making a point - leave aside the expression? Yes. Has the Judicial system gone to h-e-l-l in a handbag? Apparently Yes

He is no BABA. He is a shrewd businessman who had misused YOGA to promote his products.

Bharat Mata ki Jai, Ramdev is merely a yoga teacher .I Have observed him since he was a performing yoga student of his Guru on Door Darshan. He should limit himself to what he knows best . Patanjali Yoga.He isn't articulate in his Hindi . He is a physically fit and energetic guy. That's all there is to him . People have done much ado about him.Media and press equally responsible for giving bytes to a man who lacks an informed Indian perspective of being Indian.Ramdev is as inciting as a Owaisis or Zakir. Being of Hindu faith ,in true spirit of Hinduism, he should be propagating tolerance and non violence . Not inciting masses who are as ill informed as him . Justice Goyal has given orders against his provocative threats .People of the nation should hail this .I'm sure BJP too do not want another Togadia .They too must be thinking about not giving Ramdev a platform to propagate his ignorance. I do not a follow or support congress party and their views,.never have. Can't we be Indian?

It is just like protecting the devils and punishing the saints. Why NBW are not issued against the extremists of Kashmir who are ruining the peace of the country by thier actions. There is no freedom of speech for the saints. Anti-national activities are spared but there is ban on provocative speech only for Hindus. Being a secular nation there should be a ban on the speech of people like Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi. Why are they spared? Being Muslim(A manority Community) or Being a politician?

Calm down brother. All extremists needs to be punished and treated for psychological disorder that has no religion. This includes Baba Ramdev and Owaisi. Just because he is a famous business man who cheats the government with the support of government, he should not take for granted that anything rubbish can be talked and made. He needs to be punished severely.

I never heard about NBW issued against the Owasis for insulting Hindu Dharma. I never saw a NBW for the CPIM goons who insulted our Army ...The remark was a reply to Owasis's provocative statement and nothing more . Yet if Swami Ramdev is issued a NBW for such a non issue then I am eagerly waiting for more such warrants for others who have committed graver offences.
