The NIA registered a fresh case in New Delhi in connection with the attack a day after the Union Home Ministry directed the agency to probe the attack. The J&K Police had earlier registered a case after terrorists stormed the camp on the directions of their foreign handlers.

Officials said that an NIA team would reach Jammu shortly to visit the attack scene. They added that the NIA would submit the FIR in the case before a Special Court in Jammu. The police’s CID wing would hand over material evidence collected so far to the NIA.
