The Vice President of AIMPLB has said that the board will end the practice of triple talaq itself in one-and-a-half years so the government should not interfere in the matter. Kalbe Sadiq also advised the Muslims against eating beef. Sadiq, who was in Bijnor on Tuesday to attend a programme, was speaking to reporters at the residence of President of District Civil Bar Association.

The Shia scholar said the triple talaq system was unfair to women but it was a personal affair for the community and they would solve it themselves within one to one-and-a-half years. He said the government should not interfere in it. On the issue of beef consumption, he said in religious books eating beef is not advised and Muslims should not have it.

Sadiq said if the government enacts laws banning cow slaughter and beef eating in the country, the Muslims would welcome it. He condemned the unlawful activities of cow vigilantes and demanded that it be stopped. On the Ram temple issue, he said the dispute should end now and the Hindus and the Muslims should yield some ground to each other so that a compromise could be reached.

He said Muslims should not insist on making a mosque at the site where the temple would be built. Sadiq said Muslim leaders were responsible for the poor state of the community. He said Kashmiri youths should open their eyes and understand the nefarious designs of Pakistan. He said India should be united for it to become a prosperous country.

Divorce laws should be common for all. Let the marriages be according to different customs. The society as a w gets affected by every divorce act committed in either Muslim or Hindu or any other community in India. The divorce rules in muslim society are comparatively too simple as compared to those provided in Hindu marriage act. But actually, both are at extremes in terms of the modern cir stances and so need to be modified. The compensation in ‘Nikahnaama’ contract is too meagre because that is never written in real anti tion of Talaak and even that is not readily given to the woman. Both side the families must contribute for maintenance,if she is unable to do so.That will provide socio-economic pressure against divorce on trivial grounds. Proving adultery-case is nearly impossible, although both know that. The pain leads to violence and criminal situations. So the law must consider reasonable evidences of breach of trust presented by either party as base for divorce.

Do not believe in these statements. Govt should put very convincing argument in front of SC and SC should examine in the light of what all other Muslim countries have even done. India has become a joke where such horrible things are still being allowed and women from Muslim community are suffering the most. Do not rust these clerics and Mullahs.

Let SC decide and amend the laws otherwise it is going to be a mockery and there is every possibility of back door mani tions to bring it back. Jaihind

Although this is a very good advice but AIMPLB is a communal and controversial NGO. It has no legal sanc y. Nation will be governed by the cons ution, by the Parliament and by the Honourable Supreme Court. AIMPLB, Sharia laws, Hadis, the Holy Quran, the Gita and the Bible etc. have no place in the secular and democratic nation. Triple Talaq, polygamy, halala, Sharia laws, etc. Must be banned. Common Civil Code must be implemented to strengthen the secularism and employment and equality of women.

It's heartening to see sane voices coming from the otherwise fanatic skulls. It's time that Muslims must focus on education & their leaders must come out strongly against few Mullah's who have taken the community for a ride all these years in their self interest & survival. It's also important that Hindus lend them a helping hand instead of bossing about. We might be different by religious practices, but same culturally.
