State seeks Rs 2,400 crore from Centre

Rs 2,400 crore were sought from Jaitley for various projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the Integrated Watershed Development Programme.

Rural Development Minister Pankaja Munde Monday met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and sought Rs 2,400 crore for various projects undertaken under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the Integrated Watershed Development Programme. MoS for Rural Development Deepak Kesarkar and state officials were present at the meeting. Munde sought early allocations so that dues of labourers and contractors could be cleared fast.
