Indian Mujahideen co-founder and one of India’s most wanted terrorists,Yasin Bhatkal was arrested from the Indo-Nepal border in north Bihar on Wednesday night.
On the run since 2008,Yasin is wanted in a string of terror attacks in Ahmedabad,Surat,Bangalore,Pune,Delhi and Hyderabad.

# The arrested Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal will be brought to Delhi from Bihar in a special plane on Friday,sources said.
# The Gujarat police crime branch will seek custody of Bhatkal,a key accused in 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case and wanted in 35 different cases in Gujarat. “We shall be applying for his custody. Bhatkal is wanted in around 35 cases in Gujarat,of which 15 are linked to blast attempts in Surat and another 20 cases in Ahmedabad,involving the 2008 serial blasts,” Joint Commissioner of Police (crime branch) A K Sharma said.
# Police teams from Andhra Pradesh will soon be sent to Bihar to question arrested Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal and his aide Asadulla Akhtar in connection with the February 21 twin bomb blasts case in Hyderabad.
# Against the backdrop of Bhatkal’s arrest,India hoped that the thinking in Pakistan will change as per the assurances given by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and also voiced expectation that all those wanted here would be handed over.
