As the row over the appointment of the member secretary of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) escalated on Wednesday with the appointment of IAS officer Dilraj Kaur as the member secretary of the body, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung was acting like “Hitler”.
“LG is acting like Hitler, following in footsteps of his masters Mr Modi n Amit Shah,” Kejriwal tweeted.

“Najeeb Jung ne up rashtrapati banne ke liye apni aatma ko Modi ko bech diya. Par Modi kabhi Muslim ko up rashtrapati nahi banayenge, Jung jo marzi kar le (Najeeb Jung has sold his soul to Modi to become the vice-president. But Modi will never make a Muslim the vice-president, no matter what Jung does),” he wrote in another tweet.
Sources in the L-G’s secretariat, meanwhile, said that Kaur’s appointment was temporary.
Vijender Gupta, leader of opposition in Delhi assembly, said, “It is unparliamentary and disrespectful to the L-G and the PM… Kejriwal himself is a perpetual law-breaker, who is always violating the Constitution.”
