Indian mission in UK opens condolence book for Jayalalithaa

The book will be available for tributes on Thursday and Friday between 1000 and 1200 and 1500 and 1700 GMT.

The Indian High Commission in London on Thursday opened a condolence book for NRIs wanting to pay tribute to former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha. Jayalalitha, 68, passed away after suffering a heart attack late on Sunday night.

“With great sorrow, we would like to inform you of the passing away of Selvi J Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister of Indian State of Tamil Nadu,” India House said in a statement on Thursday.

“The High Commission of India in London will open a book of condolences at India House,” it noted. The book will be available for tributes on Thursday and Friday between 1000 and 1200 and 1500 and 1700 GMT.
