After one of its MLAs defied the party whip and voted in favour of the National Conference in the recently held Rajya Sabha polls,Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers party has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Party chairman Bhim Singh has appointed Bansi Lal Sharma, state president of the JKNPP,to enquire into the violation of whip. The Panthers party had earlier decided to vote against the ruling alliance candidate in the Rajya Sabha polls held on February 13. One of its legislators voted in favour of ruling NC,while two others voted for the PDP. Singh has asked Bansi Lal Sharma to complete the inquiry by February 23.
