Two held for sending SMSes threatning to kill Tamil Nadu minister

Two persons were on Sunday taken in for questioning after they allegedly sent SMSes to some officials threatening to kill Tamil Nadu minister Edappadi K Palanisamy, two collectors and a former district judge, the police said. The messages were delivered to Salem Revenue Divisional Officer Lalithavathi and Tahsildhar Kannan, the police said. The SMSes said Palanisamy, Salem Collector K Magarabhusanam, Dharmapuri Collector Vivekanadan and former district judge Baskaran were going to be murdered, they added. Special police teams were formed and two persons were taken into custody — one from Dharmapuri Engineering College and another from Salem Steel Plant, police said.
