The 82-year-old has been admitted to a super-speciality hospital since December 23. She was stated to be in a stable condition over the past few days but her old-age complicated matters, doctors said.
“Although her cardiac condition continues to remain stable, her oxygen saturation again dipped last evening. However, with intensive chest physiotherapy, it has stabilised,” read a medical bulletin issued by Belle Vue Clinic.
Besides a medical board led by critical care specialist Dr Subrata Maitra, Sen is being observed by two pulmonologists. Sen, who has stayed away from the public eye for the past three decades, starred in Hindi and Bengali films such as Devdas, Aandhi, Saat Paake Bandha and Agnipariksha.
