A man charged with leaking question papers for the railway recruitment and LIC examinations, identified as Bediram, was Friday remanded in the custody of the Special Task Force, which is probing the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam.
Based in Uttar Pradesh, Bediram, known to be a notorious criminal, has been allegedly engaged in the illegal business for several years and was wanted in Madhya Pradesh in connection with the leaking of papers of two examinations conducted by the state services commission.
The examination for the post of Ayurvedic Medical Officer was scheduled for May 18 this year, while the other examination, PSC (mains), was held in 2012.
Bediram was arrested by the UP police.
The Home Ministry had sent a panel of three senior IAS officers to pick from and Negi's name is not in the list.
