Shiv Sena throws a challenge to Modi, Rajnath

The Shiv Sena, a partner of BJP in the NDA that has Narendra Modi as its PM candidate, has decided to contest the LS polls against Modi in Varanasi. Shiv Sena has announced it will contest 35 seats in UP and released its first list of 15 candidates Thursday.

The list includes Ajay Chaubey who will contest against Modi in Varanasi, Uday Pandey against Rajnath Singh in Lucknow, Manoj Saini in Muzaffarnagar against BJP’s Sajeev Baliyan, Hemendra Kumar Rawal against BJP’s sitting MP Rajendra Agarwal in Meerut, Sunil Massey against Uma Bharti in Jhansi, and Digvijay Chaubey against Kalraj Mishra in Deoria.

Other seats it will contest include Sambhal, Bareilly, Barabanki, Nagina, Aligarh and Robertsganj.
