Rahul to visit Bundelkhand today
Lucknow: Five months after AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi jointly addressed a rally with PM Manmohan Singh in Bundelkhand,he will again visit the region on Monday. He will address a training programme of newly elected Youth Congress representatives around 1.30pm at Shrinath Palace in Jhansi. He is also likely to go on a surprise tour to some areas of Bundelkhand. Sources said the party plans to highlight the poor implementation of the Bundelkhand package. Rahul might also visit some of the areas to be benefited under various schemes of the package. He might visit some of the villages on his way. But because his programme is of just one day,we are not expecting any long tours of the region, said a Congress leader from the region.
SP: Cong has done nothing for people
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today lashed out at the Congress,accusing it of doing nothing for the people despite being in power for a long period at the Centre. The Congress is responsible for the problems being faced by the people. The party ruled the country for a long time but did nothing for them and they continue to suffer, he told a meeting of party workers here.
BSP govt has lost control over UP,says BJP
Barabanki: Attacking the BSP government for the deteriorating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh,BJP national vice-president Kalraj Mishra today claimed that the Mayawati government had lost control over the state. The law and order situation in a state,where a two-year-old girl is raped and a woman is forced to parade naked,can be easily gauged, Mishra said at a Vijay Sankalp Sammelan at Ramnagar here.
