Jammu and Kashmir National Panther’s party Chairman,Prof Bhim Singh,is all set to field its candidates in five of the legislative council seats where victory for the ruling NC-Congress coalition is guaranteed. Moreover,in a decision, taken by the party on Sunday,it was decided that the JKNPP would support the opposition candidates of the BJP and the PDP on the seats where they could together give a strong fight and where the chances of the NC-Congress alliance winning were slim.

“There was no question of supporting the ruling NC-Congress alliance in the legislative council elections. Instead we are taking action against the MLA,who in defiance of the party whip voted for the NC candidate in the Rajya Sabha polls,” said Singh. According to the JKNPP,the decision to field candidates on five of the seats was made to ensure that the NC-Congress alliance would not win them without any contest.
