Convicted INLD chief Om Prakash Chautala campaigned in Faridabad and neighbouring areas Sunday, the third consecutive day he addressed public rallies after being granted bail on health grounds.
Chautala attacked the BJP: “People have chosen the BJP after they got fed up with Congress rule. However, in the span of a few months, people have shown the BJP its place, as seen in the results of the bypolls in various states,” Chautala said.
The CBI has accused Chautala of violating the bail terms. He is expected to address another public rally in Kurukshetra’s Theme Park on October 7. On Sunday he campaigned in Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Hodal and Hathin, besides Faridabad.
He targeted the Congress too, accusing it of emptying the state’s coffers with its “ill-conceived policies”.
Chautala has announced that if voted to power, he will take oath as chief minister from Tihar Jail.
He promised that “in the INLD regime, people will have direct access to the chief minister and I will ensure that whoever comes to me will not go back empty-handed”.
