Naveen Jindal seeks relief from court Appearance

Jindal stated that there was no possibility of his fleeing from justice and due to his commitments in the country and abroad, he was required to travel frequently.

Former MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal, chargesheeted by the CBI in a coal block allocation case, has sought exemption from personal appearance.

In a plea, filed in the special CBI court, he said that “heavy financial hardship” and “grave prejudice” will be caused if relief is not granted. Jindal stated that there was no possibility of his fleeing from justice and due to his commitments in the country and abroad, he was required to travel frequently. The court will hear the matter on September 21.
