Tearing into the brand of politics practiced by Naveen Patnaik and Rahul Gandhi, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday said it was time to throw out dynastic politicians who took people for granted.
At a rally attended by over one lakh people near Rourkela’s Aerodrome Ground, Modi said though Naveen had ruled the state for 14 years, he had not given anything back. Earlier, at Bolangir and Nuapada, Modi had called Naveen government “nikammi (useless)”.
“Gujarat has no coal, yet it is power surplus… Orissa has everything, but Naveen has not given anything to the state except poverty,” Modi said it is time for voters to choose between “kaamdar (hardworking)” and “naamdar (famous)” politicians.
