Man upset over being cheated by online lottery commits suicide

He was cheated of Rs 50,000,which he had saved for his job.

Upset over being cheated by an online ‘Nigerian lottery’ which promised him a whopping prize money of Rs 7.60 crore,a 24-year-old postgraduate committed suicide by hanging at his house today,police said.

He also reportedly left behind a four page suicide note.

Police said the MCA graduate,a university rank holder had been cheated of Rs 50,000 which he had saved for a job by his uncle. An employment broker had also cheated him of Rs 75,000.

The man was also not satisfied with poor salary for his job at Bangalore and Calcutta. At this stage,he received an SMS stating that he had been chosen as the winner for the online lottery and he would have to pay Rs six lakh to get it

He raised the amount from two lady financiers and sent the money to the lottery through an agent,despite warnings by friends and well wishers. When he found out that the lotter was bogus,he committed suicide,police said.
