A day after Jaspreet Singh Jassa,a PPP leader, was killed at Adampur village in Bathinda while campaigning for zila parishad elections,Congress Spokesperson Sukhpal Singh Khaira on Friday backed the demand of state Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa for immediate imposition of President’s rule in Punjab.

“We appeal to the home minister of India to send a fact finding team to Punjab to investigate political murders and lawlessness,as the Punjab Police has failed to perform its duty fairly,” Khaira said.

He added that the Punjab Police was now ‘Police Akali Dal’ (PAD).

He also alleged that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his deputy,Sukhbir Singh Badal, had let lose a reign of terror in Punjab through a well planned conspiracy to eliminate its political rivals and hijack elections.
