Kejriwal’s appeal for public funds to run AAP a “misadventure”: Congress

"It's an insult to the constitutional office he (CM Kejriwal) holds, it’s neither correct nor appropriate," said Congress' Surjewala.

Congress on Tuesday dubbed as a “misadventure” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal to the public to pitch in with money to help run Aam Aadmi Party’s daily expenses. “It’s an insult to the constitutional office he (CM Kejriwal) holds, it’s neither correct nor appropriate,” the party’s Communication department in-charge Randip Surjewala said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Claiming that AAP had run out of cash, Kejriwal appealed to the public to donate money to help run the party’s daily expenses. Kejriwal justified his public appeal saying that AAP does not intend to fill its coffers adopting “wrong means” and would like to be steadfast in its vow to practise honest politics.

    And with this money AAP will run Kejriwal's publicity campaign !!! Can they disclose how much money has been spent on Kejriwal promotion ads? Could this money be not used for govt. schools? or for better roads?

      Instead of going behind every action of Shri Kejriwal and commenting on whether it is wrong or right, the other political parties should come out clean, on their way of collecting and utilising of funds.
