The Jammu and Kashmir government has tendered for 10 micro hydel projects,with a capacity of 172 MW in the state.
“Ten projects have been tendered out under new hydel policy. It has 172 MW capacity”,Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a written reply to the question of Naresh Kumar Gupta in Legislative Council today.
He said those projects which have been tendered included 40-MW Ans-I in Reasi district,45-MW Bichlari in Ramban district,27-MW Kanzal in Ganderbal district,12-MW Girjan in Poonch district,10-MW Erin in Bandipora district,10-MW Mawar in Kupwara district,7-MW each in Chenani-IV in Udhampur district and Chandanwari in Baramulla district,8-MW Sewa-I in Kathua district and 60-MW in Boniyar in Baramulla district.
He said estimated cost of these projects is about Rs 8 crore per MW.
As per the policy,projects shall be constructed by Independent Power Producers (IPP) whom will be selected through competitive bidding process,he said.
In respect of 10 projects already advertised,request for qualification has been invited which has been responded by 61 parties,he said.
