Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi.

Hours after she attacked PM Narendra Modi, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi Wednesday night told MPs and leaders that the party’s aggressive posturing in Parliament was the “beginning of a new political fight.”

At a dinner hosted by her at 10, Janpath, Sonia asked MPs to be more aggressive in the coming days. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was the toast of the dinner as party leaders were heard telling him that his newfound active avatar was the need of the hour for the party. Rahul, sources said, recalled his recent visits to Punjab and Maharashtra and urged the MPs to take up the issue of farmers. While former PM Manmohan Singh shared the table with Sonia, Rahul and Jyotiraditya Scindia shared another table.

The aggressiveness will not yield much to Congress at this juncture. The aggressiveness is not a credible factor when political trust is lost .

Congress and Sonia - there is a proverb that states that Empty vessel makes the most sound. Where is the progress shown for the past 60 years. Whatever happened to the funds igned for various projects - lying in the Swiss banks. There is no credibility left with Congress.
