India slammed Pakistan on Thursday for allowing the cross-LoC confidence building measures to be held hostage for the sake of persons involved in drug trafficking. New Delhi and Islamabad have been trying to resolve a crisis which erupted after the arrest of a Pakistani driver who allegedly smuggling narcotics worth Rs 100 crore across the LoC. Noting that cross-LoC trade and travel are beneficial to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin said the two ministries are making efforts to resolve the issue.
