Independent legislator and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid has termed the reply of the center government in the Lok Sabha about plans of creating separate townships for Kashmiri pandits as “insufficient” and said that MOS Home’s reply on the issue “doesn’t carry much significance.”
On Tuesday, centre government had informed in the Lok Sabha that there is no proposal to create separate zones exclusively for the migrant Kashmiri pandits in J&K.
“The reply by Union Minister of State for Home Parathibhai’s reply has come in response to a question that would have been obviously given to the ministry before Rajnath Singh’s revelations claiming that J&K chief minister had earmarked 400 kanals in the first instance for the proposed and hence MOS Home’s reply doesn’t carry much significance,” Rashid said.
He also asked Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to make a categorical announcement that “not even an inch of land is being or will be given for the said townships.”
Rashid also “hailed” MP Assadudin Owaisi who has objected to conferring the Padhmabushan award for LK Advani and Bharat Ratna to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
“How could Vajpayee be exonerated from the charges of demolishing Babri Masjid, if he was the face of Sangh Pariwar and had categorically said that for the construction of Ram temple land at Ayodhya needs to be levelled, thus provoking fascist radical forces to demolish the Mosque,” Rashid said. “It is for real secular forces to introspect and raise their voice that how could Advani be given Padhmabushan, if there are serious cases of spreading communal hatred pending against him.”
