Girl kidnapping case: Court to pronounce its order on May 21

After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defence for the last five days,a local court on Friday fixed May 21 to pronounce its order in the alleged abduction and rape of a minor girl from here last year.

After hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defence for the last five days,a local court on Friday fixed May 21 to pronounce its order in the alleged abduction and rape of a minor girl from here last year.

The girl was kidnapped and raped in June and then in September last year. She was forcibly picked up from her residence on gunpoint in full public view. She was later traced with her alleged abductor in Goa.

Nishan Singh Brar,the prime accused and 19 others are facing the charge of kidnapping and raping the girl after luring her for marriage. Except eight alleged accused,who were enlarged on bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court,rest others are lodged in local jail.
