Furious bus operators protest against SP goonda raj

A kin of Samajwadi Party MLA allegedly beat up a conductor when asked to pay for his ticket.

Staff of a dozen private buses today protested by blocking the Kalyanpur-Bithur Marg here after the kin of a Samajwadi Party MLA allegedly beat up a conductor when asked to pay for his ticket.

“Drivers and conductors of private buses had blocked the Kalyanpur-Bithur Marg today. The actual reason for the protest is being determined,” DIG Amitabh Yash said.

The protestors alleged that a kin of SP MLA from Bithur constituency,Munendra Shukla,had beaten up a conductor two days ago.

They also alleged that such conduct and also extortion of money was a routine affair with Shukla’s relatives.

However,Shukla denied the charges as false and claimed political rivalry to be behind the agitation.
