A drunken man died after he fell into a hole and construction workers built a road over him in Katni district of Maddhya Pradesh, police said on Monday.

The Katni district police said the 45-year-old was returning home on Friday evening when he fell into the hole.

Labourers then filled the hole with molten tar and used a heavy roller to flatten the surface. Locals later spotted the man’s shirt and he was pulled out of the newly laid road dead on Monday, police said.

“His body has been sent for post mortem and further investigation is in process,” sub-inspector N P Chaudhary told Reuters TV.

God in heaven, what a tragedy! The poor drunken soul! You drink and drive, you may kill somebody or kill yourself! Drink and walk, you may fall into a ditch and get buried! Better, do not go out at all to drink, stay home!

If that MAN was so DRUNK that he did not realise that a road was being built over him he certainly deserve to die.
