At the end of day 2 of the CPM party congress, General Secretary Prakash Karat has expressed concern over the party’s lack of growth in the last 25 years and spoke about the need to adopt flexible tactics to remain relevant.

Karat at a press conference in Vishakapatnam also said that the party failed to break the paradigm of Congress and BJP benefitting from each other’s loss in elections.

The party general secretary admitted that it was mistake to try and form a third alternative and ruled out projecting any national alliance in the future.

“We want to form a powerful alternative force against bourgeois parties, it has nothing to do with elections,” said Karat.

CPI(M) are trying to replace the attempt to build a third alternative with a Left Demo alternative, Karat said.

He also took a swipe at the BJP saying that “We don’t build party membership through messages and missed calls”.

We do not take party memberships through calls and messages. Grow up olide.. People have started exploring mars. Still the has not left the concept of cl struggle. The only aim of the party is not agenda to re-vitalize self and contribute to India's development, but how to create bloackedes for a government elected by people. They are in a utopian world whcih makes them believe there is a separate set of people who votes for BJP, another set that votes for Congress and a prsitine set that will vote for Left and bring them to power. Say we cannot anymore and say the party is dismissed. Also stop epcloting your own cadres because they work hard and mke blood sweat to provide you the expenses for air travel. Go with your own money from the pocket. If son cna be sent to Brimingham for MBA course for 50 lakks, why exploit cadres for party expenses ! Pathetic.. !

CPM/communits if they do three things..then people will start accept..Can Karat can do.. 1)No Bandh or harts, unless it is must and have all parties support..generic way its bigger issue which have support of atleast 75% potion..then go for it. 2)Make enough work to show that you are not anti-industrial. 3)Do some clean up in party..dont allow cadres roam like killers ..try to show some difference. community...people should not fear ..its as a problem making party..will u do that...

Now all the Janta parivar has merged to form a third alternative. Bihar government is surviving due to the support of the Congress. They are not against taking the support of the congress to keep the B.J.P out. Karat and his party now has to look for a fourth alternative. Non bourgeois non corrupt Jayalalitha may be an option before him.

Indian communists are the last species of their kinds on the planet. People like Karat and Yechury consumed thousands of rupees of taxpayer's money without completing their degrees at at JNU, yet they have no regrets.
