The Indian Express twitter handle (@IndianExpress) erroneously put out a wrong tweet during the Idea Exchange with Delhi minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
The correct tweet should have been “Don’t know whether it (AAP) was an anti-Congress movement or not… but it has always been an anti-corruption movement for me.” Asked for his reaction to Kiran Bedi’s statement that she left the movement ‘because it had changed from an anti-Congress movement which was taking help from BJP to an anti-Cong, anti-BJP movement’, Sisodia said: “Pata nahin ke ye anti-Cong movement tha…… Main to jab se ye movement main tha, mere liye to ye anti-corruption movement tha. (Don’t know whether it was an anti-Congress movement or not but it has always been an anti-corruption movement for me.) If anyone was involved in corruption, it was anti that.
Be it A, B, whatever, whatever. Since the beginning, mere liye aur kam se kam main bahut saare logon ke liye kah sakta hoon, jaise ki Arvind (Kejriwal), ki hum sab ke liye toh anti-corruption movement tha. (For me, and I can speak for many others like Arvind, it was an anti-corruption movement). Whosoever was involved in corruption, it was anti them. Unko agar issme kisi ko anti-Congress dikhta hai, ya BJP ka faayda dikhta hai, kisi ko bhi kissi ka fayda dikhta hai (Some may see it as anti-Congress or helpful to BJP. Anyone can view this as helpful to someone or the other).” The event was being covered live and the error was inadvertent and unintentional. We deeply regret the error.
Bhushan, like Yadav, said that Kejriwal and “his coterie” had forgotten the principles that the party was built on.
