The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister attacked the Congress, saying it was “mired in controversies” because of its involvement in corruption. The party has also done “nothing for farmers, minority and common man”,he contended.
“There will be excessive use of money power in the next Lok Sabha polls and BJP and Congress will lead in this…Despite that they will not be able to get the majority,” Yadav said while addressing party workers here.
UP will play a major role in the formation of the next government as there are maximum number of seats here,he said.
“All eyes will be on the performance of political parties here,” Yadav said.
He said that the SP government in the state will emerge stronger after the Lok Sabha polls,as it has fulfilled all the promises it had made in 2012 Assembly polls.
Yadav asked the partymen to shun differences so that the “crucial” elections could be fought unitedly.
“If you remain united…the (political) picture of the country will change,” he said.
Claiming that SP was a secular party,Yadav said it treats Muslims and Hindus equally. “We are not against or in favour of any particular caste or creed. We make policies for everyone’s welfare,” he said.
