Cong takes on govt over FYUP

The Congress attacked the NDA government for its handling of the issue of FYUP in DU

With Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Singh resigning in protest against the University Grants Commission’s direction to scrap the four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP), the Congress attacked the NDA government for its handling of the issue. Senior leader Manish Tewari accused the government of “trampling upon” the autonomy of DU. “If indeed the reports regarding the resignation of the V-C is correct, it shows as to how the current government trampled upon and is trifling with the autonomy of educational institutions,” he said.

      Even while Congress "takes on" BJP on an issue created by them, the matters will move on as 57 colleges have already accepted the 3 year program. Let the Congress run for cover.
