Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa on Wednesday slammed the SAD-BJP government for allegedly promoting casino culture in Punjab, the state which he said was already riddled with drug problems.

He also demanded that the names of SAD leaders allegedly helping the drug mafia,as submitted by former DGP(Jails) Shashi Kant to the state government,be made public.

In a statement,Bajwa said: “Online lottery and setting up of race courses will spoil the youth. It was banned by former the Congress government following reports that people were committing suicide after losing their hard earned-money in lottery. It will be bane for the youth and the poor, who may be lured to become rich overnight.”
