Six persons including a local BJP leader were arrested here in connection with alleged trafficking and rape of a minor girl from Assam, police said on Friday.

The accused were caught last evening during a routine checking on Ujjain road when police stopped a car on the basis of suspicion and found a 15-year-old girl in the captivity of four men, City Kotwali Police Station In-charge, Bhupendra Singh said.

The minor later told police that she was lured by a person from Doipang area near Guwahati, Assam and brought to Mumbai on the pretext of providing her a job but was allegedly raped there by few persons.

Later, she was brought to Indore in Madhya Pradesh where a middleman Raja alias Rakesh allegedly sold her to a woman agent, Mumtaz after taking money.

Mumtaz later handed over her for Rs 4,000 to four persons including Dewas Municipal Corporation’s Revenue Inspector Sabir alias Lal, a corporation employee Rohit Jalodia, BJP leader Hamid Sadar and Yaqub Sheikh.

Yesterday, they allegedly took her to a secluded place in a car for physically exploiting her but started abusing her in the vehicle itself, Singh said.

After reaching the designated spot they began squabbling over taking turns to rape her following which they decided to return, the In-charge said.

Meanwhile, Sabir allegedly raped the girl and was subsequently caught by police on the way back.

Taking a serious view of the matter, BJP has expelled the minority wing’s former office bearer Hamid from the party.

The accused will be produced in a local court today and a police team would be sent to Assam for further probing the incident.

This news article has been published by dozens of Indian news media sites/channels/companies. So, as per you, aren't all the media companies corrupt??? The only ones which remain honest are the Mr Ambani bought media channels who decided to remain silent on the issue because they officially support Narendra Modi...Have you watched the horse-trading sting video which Arvind Kejriwal released a couple of hours ago?? It shows BJP members offering 4 crores to AAP members for forming government with them...After winning with majority, hasn't BJP's greed for power still far from being met, how shameless certain BJP party members and their defenders have become, and how easily they can produce crores of rupees to meet their agenda???People who make sure that criminals roam freely, while honest people get silenced (for money or for lack of knowledge) have become the biggest hindrance to let India move forward....

if this indeed the truth, let the guilty be punished, that too severly. this news yet again proves that if one is guilty he would get punished irrespective of his party membership, which in present Indian politics only BJP could do, the sickular parties would find some reasons to protect their people! The news shows in MP the justice is delivered and that too without any partiality. But as usual the #newstrader, #paidjourno has made a le "BJP leader", conveniently hiding the "local" word in the heading and thus generating "bad feelings towards BJP". The intention is clear, if the news is about a local leader people wont ccare too much, if one has to mallign BJP (As indian express constantly does!), provide a catchy le.. partial truths, toatally undermining the real meaning. Indian express is now becoming a blot in Indian journalism, its not journalism of courage its journalism of 'hatred', funded by anti nationals I suppose
