With investigations by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) into the death of three minor sisters under mysterious circumstances in Bhandara district earlier this year drawing a blank, the state government has once again requested the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take up the probe. “Earlier also,we had requested CBI to probe the case but they refused saying the investigation by police is on the right track. Recently,we have sent a letter to CBI requesting them to take over the investigations,” Home Minister R R Patil said on Tuesday. According to police, the three sisters, aged 6,9 and 11 years and missing since February 14,2013,were allegedly raped and murdered and their bodies were found dumped in a farm well near Murmadi village on February 16.
