Alleged militant sympathiser held

State Police arrested a state government official belonging to Rural Development Department for his alleged connections with a militant outfit.

State Police on Tuesday arrested a state government official belonging to Rural Development Department (RDD) for his alleged connections with a militant outfit.

Official sources informed that the government-employee-turned-militant’s-helper identified as Ghulam Hassan of Shagla Koti in mountainous district of Doda has alleged links with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militant outfit.

Sources further attributed that the arrested RDD employee was on way to meet HM militant Abu Akasha in upper reaches of the district to pay him money as monthly contribution when he was nabbed by Doda police.
