The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) will re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT), 2015, on July 25, after the Supreme Court asked the Board to conduct the test again following allegations of large-scale irregularities.
Nearly 6.3 lakh candidates had appeared for the AIPMT exam held on May 3, but it got embroiled in controversy after reports of irregularities and cheating surfaced. The apex court had directed the Board to re-conduct the exam and declare its results by August 17.
“In compliance with the Supreme Court order on June 15 and June 19, CBSE has decided to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Test 2015 on July 25 (Saturday),” stated the CBSE on Tuesday.
“No fresh applications will be accepted and it will be a retest only in respect of the candidates who had applied within the stipulated time from December 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015 with requisite fee,” it added.
