Accident tribunal awards Rs 2.46 lakh to disabled teacher

A motor accident claims tribunal here has awarded a compensation of Rs 2.46 lakh to a 48-year-old teacher from Sahapur taluka who was rendered disabled by an accident while on his way to Mumbai nearly eight years ago.

A motor accident claims tribunal here has awarded a compensation of Rs 2.46 lakh to a 48-year-old teacher from Sahapur taluka who was rendered disabled by an accident while on his way to Mumbai nearly eight years ago.

Tarachand Gawli was travelling with family and relatives from Nashik to Mumbai on October 10,2005,when a speeding truck hit their tempo near Nandgaon bypass. Two tempo passengers died while Gawli and a few others sustained serious injuries.
