As many as five cases of alleged spying in armed forces have been reported from 2011 to present and “inimical” intelligence agencies have been suspected to be involved in such activities, Defence Minister A K Antony said today.
Replying to a question by MP Naresh Agrawal in Rajya Sabha, Antony said the government had taken appropriate measures to prevent spying incidents. “Five cases of alleged spying have been reported during the last three years and current year (2011-14),” he said.
The East corporation scraped together funds with the help of a grant from the state government.
