The 21-year-old son of a Congress leader in Mizoram capital Aizawl shot himself to death with his father’s pistol early Saturday morning following a disagreement with a friend, police said.
Michael Malsawmdawngliana, son of local Congress leader Thanglianzauva, used his father’s .32 (NPB) pistol to shoot himself in the head around 4 am Saturday.
Police have conducted an inquiry and registered a case of unnatural death. The pistol was a licensed gun and no other cases have been registered, an officer said.
Soon after the marriage, the woman doctor came to know that her husband was "gay".
