People’s Party of Punjab’s (PPP) senior vice-president Darshan Singh Mandhir and member of the central committee,Amardeep Singh Brar, rejoined SAD in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday.

Welcoming back Mandhir and Brar to SAD,Sukhbir said Mandhir is a political institution in Gidderbaha

area and he himself owes his initial political upbringing

to him.

“Mandhir has always remained an inseparable part of SAD. Now,he has returned to his mother party as he is frustrated with Manpreet Singh Badal (PPP president) extending an olive branch to the Congress. Manpreet stands fully exposed as his agenda of breaking SAD has been exposed to the people of Punjab,” he added.

Both Mandhir and Brar claimed they were pained by PPP chief Manpreet Singh Badal’s decision to join hands with the Congress.

“We had opposed this move and advocated that instead of joining hands with Congress,PPP should go back to SAD after accepting its mistake,” said Mandhir.

He added that they were surprised to see Congress dictating terms to the PPP

and Manpreet being at the mercy of small Congress leaders.
